The TU Dresden, as one of eleven excellence universities in Germany, invites applications for the position of  the Hans Carl von Carlowitz Junior Professorship (W1) in Sustainability Assessment and Policy at the earliest possible date. The position will be associated with the PRISMA – Centre for Sustainability Assessment and Policy, at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, and will be offered with an initial three-year employment contract. Following a positive evaluation, the employment relationship will be extended to a total of six years.

The junior professorship position is named after Hans Carl von Carlowitz (1645 – 1714), who is regarded as the founder of the principle of sustainability. As part of PRISMA, the junior professor should represent a central and future-oriented topic of sustainability assessment in research and teaching.
