AcademicTransfer recently published a really interesting job posting for a postdoc fellowship (original source: www.academictransfer.com/employer/WUR/vacancy/22319/lang/en/):
Job description
For a project on business models for climate smart innovations in the agricultural sector, funded by KiC-Climate, we are looking for an ambitious post-doctoral fellow interested in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship in general and business models for climate smart innovations in particular.
In this project, we study the contribution of business model development to the implementation of climate smart innovation in the agricultural sector. Because the limited adoption of new technologies in the agricultural sector is caused by social or economic constraints, rather than technical constraints, we will focus on the social and economic drivers and barriers of climate smart technology adoption in the agricultural sector. Together with business partners and European research institutes, we contribute both to a) approaches to assess the economic and environmental potential of business models for climate smart innovations and b) the development of profitable business models for selected technologies in the agricultural sector.
As a post-doc researcher, you are expected to design and perform the project together with the project leader and international partners. You will also be involved in the education program of the chair group, mainly in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation management. Finally, you are expected to contribute actively to the acquisition of new research grants, consultancy and research projects in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship and/or responsible innovation.
Requirements
You are an ambitious scientist and a team player, devoted to research and education. Ideally, you have completed your PhD in the field of business administration with a clear focus on sustainable entrepreneurship and/or innovation management. You are interested in research in combination with hands-on consultancy and advice, and have preferably experience with business modelling in practice.
Furthermore, you have built a strong international research network or you are in the process of building one. You have the ability to acquire externally financed projects and like to work in an interdisciplinary context. You are fluent in English and have published in international refereed scientific journals. Women are strongly encouraged to apply.
