The “Christian Doppler Laboratory for Sustainable Product Management Enabling a Circular Economy” offers two PhD positions that might be of interest for young researchers.

1. Position 1: Specialization on sustainability assessment and sustainable product development of automotive components. The research in this project will focus on the development of a methodology that enables the determination of a global sustainability optimum regarding the selection and design of an automotive component for its application in different vehicle configurations and use scenarios.
2. Position 2: Specialization on data-driven sustainability assessment of vehicle traction batteries. The research in this project will focus on the development of a concept for a dynamic product declaration using the potential of a digital twin.

Conditions: 40 hours a week, temporary employment for 3 years, position to be filled as of September 2020
